CHASING THE WILD

They are untamed, they are free, the are alive!

The fireflies called to us again in the summer night.

So we rose up and chased after them.

Night after night, they

mesmerised us with their mysterious flash patterns.

Night after night, they

captivated us with by lighting the dark waterway.

We followed their tracks,

adored their spirit,

until we left the city behind,

along with its trappings and demands.

We are free again - free to fly in the darkness flashing our own little lanterns.
