… It is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and begin our flight… the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”

― C. JoyBell C.

“Spread Your Wings” is an exhibition of my new expressive female portrait and floral paintings with a message. It is an ode to our undefeatable spirit and a call to break out of the cocoons, stretch our wings, and fly in our genius zone. Every brushstroke and every splash of colour serves as a gentle reminder: it’s the time the butterflies emerge from the chrysalis, to unfold their wings and shine their light.

The exhibition includes three parts: the Expressive Figurative Paintings, the Felicity Floral Collection and the Abstract Collage Collection.

During the two and half years of Covid incubation-metamorphosis, collectively and individually, we have done some great works in our chrysalis: we’ve learnt to connect with our core essence, shed our lesser images, practice self compassion and take ownership of our power. Coming into this new season, we want to kindle our deepest desires to be the truest and highest sleves we are meant to be.

This exhibition is especially a tribute to women. I believe that when we lift up one woman, we lift up a family and hence an entire community. That is the driving force and message behind her art and *Spread Your Wings* art exhibition.
