THE GOLDEN POND tries to capture the sunset glory on the water surface, the myriads of shades reflected off the clouds and the floral and foliage cascading as waterfalls and the pair of swans skiing over the mesmerising water body. I take special delight in creating intuitive abstract landscape with the fluid drips and a variety of brushwork. To enhance the glow and shimmering effects, I added metallic gold, violet, magenta, blue and silver pigments into the colour palette. The result is layers of glorious dreamlike colours that can brighten any space.
