These lovely daffodils are based on the blooms at the Auckland Botanical Garden. In the early spring, they emerge from the winter and display their joyful blooms at the cherry blossom area. The cherry trees are still in deep sleep but the daffodils are already awaken, ready to arise and shine. The sight is breathtaking and magical. I enjoy capturing the sunlight dancing on the flower and the depth of the landscape. I’ve also added an imaginary stream on the right side of the painting. I love how the water sings along gently, symbolic of the source of nurture and healing from the heavenly realm.
