FIELD OF ABUNDANCE
I always adore blue flowers. They evoke such a sense of wonder in me. In this painting I allow the juxtaposition of many layers of the blue coneflowers, white daisies and creamy barley. I love how the misty effect are created by the atmosphere and the barley awns that gives out this rich glowing feel. I have always loved the touch and feel of barley heads of grain. I have picked up the heads from Israel and Japan and kept them for years because they are beautiful and last forever! For me they are the symbol of harvest, fruit of labor and heart of satisfaction.
