FIELD OF CONEFLOWERS
FIELD OF CONEFLOWERS was created in the third week of Russian invasion of Ukraine. I felt raw, angry and devastated. Working on this painting gave me the opportunity to express my grief and hope, especially when I was using my fingers. In the language of flowers, coneflowers represent STRENGTH and HEALING. When we feel fragmented inside they restore our connection back to our wholeness.
This is a painting in remembrance of all the fallen heroes in the war. I feel each flower reminds me of the smiles and big-hearted love of the volunteers and warriors who sacrificed their life for for their neighbours and country. Let’s not forget their stories because selfless love is the healing medicine to this world and the strength for our soul.
