SPRING RHAPSODY II

NZ$750.00
sold out

SPRING RHAPSODY II is created based on my visits to the Auckland Botanical Gardens in the spring. I called it rhapsody because it is bursting with vibrant energy and lively rhythm. At the garden it is a heavenly realm where the cherry blossoms bloom and the daffodils dance. I am drawn to the geometric pattern and deep space created by the cherry trunks and branches, and snapped many photos with the large blooms in the foreground and the forest in the background. I want to capture the delicate petals, the sunlight and shadows playing among the clusters with oil. Again, my imagination turns the pathway in the park into a river with a bridge at the horizon convergent point, symbolic of life and connection.

28 x 22 INCH ( 71.1 x 55.8 CM)

OIL ON CANVAS with PAINTED EDGE (NO FRAME)
