THE DANCING FLAMES
THE DANCING FLAMES
THE DANCING FLAMES is a celebration of the exuberant spring colours. It is birthed from my many hours spent in the Auckland Wintergarden mesmerised by the flames of the tulips and snap dragons. It is a passionate discourse on colours, light, and movements. How inspiring it is that the blooms joyously and unreservedly gift us with their abundant presence and love! How marvellous it is that they generously lavish on us the glory of life and the delight of their essence!
I’m particularly happy with the composition of this piece. I like the up-close nature of the angle that brings the viewers close to the blooms. I also like the lower angle that gives the plants a larger than life quality as if they are walking giants in the field. I like to capture a sense of awe and wonder from almost a child’s perspective that is raw and direct.
