WRAPPED IN LIGHT 54 x 64 cm NZ$825

NZ$825.00

Wrapped By Light describes the feeling of being clothed and enveloped by a light that is soft, pure and refreshing. While we were picnicking on the warm radium bedrocks in Tamagawa, we saw the natural phenomenon of Sun Halo. Our family felt surrounded by this immense grace and love. The colours are drawn from this historical kimono house-turned hotel-villa where we stayed during our trip. Coral comes a kimono displayed there, and the orange comes from a yarn tool turned lantern that glows in the night. And the light neon yellow is inspired by the sulphur flowers at the hot spring site. The composition turns out to vaguely suggest the landscape where the Tamagawa River hot spring is located.

54 x 64 cm (in pine tray frame)
