DANCING HEARTSCAPE
DANCING HEARTSCAPE depicts the dynamic leaping and splashing of the hot spring, capturing the exhilarating emotions evoked by the powerful fountainhead of Tamagawa and the awe-inspiring force and beauty of nature. Playful olive details hint at the landscape, while violet-blue accents highlight the waterpool. The painting employs the dreamy colour palette of the RED subset within the Tokimeku collection—colours not confined to reality but drawn from a heart ignited by renewed love, hope, dreams, and possibilities during the enchanting pilgrimage to Tamagawa.
This painting is crafted using acrylic and soft pastel on raw canvas, fusing the soak-stain technique pioneered by the 20th century American abstract expressionist Helen Frankenthaler with the artistic traditions of Asian water-ink that have been a cherished part of my upbringing.
