SUN HALO II - RISE
SUN HALO II - CONVERGE is the second instalment in the three-part Sun Halo series. Inspired by the celestial phenomenon of the Sun Halo, it evokes a sense of inner awakening akin to a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, ascending into the vast expanse of the blue sky—a symbol of future, hope, and boundless possibilities. The piece exudes a bold clarity from the white transparent block, with a golden line weaving the threads of hope for the future through the emerging wing in quiet confidence.
A sun halo, or 22-degree halo, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon caused by sunlight interacting with ice crystals suspended in thin cirrus clouds. These hexagonal ice crystals refract and reflect sunlight, creating a circular halo around the sun at an angle of approximately 22 degrees, often accompanied by vibrant colours, on the inner and outer edges.
