TIMELESS DREAMS
TIMELESS DREAMS, a part of the RED subset within the Tokimeku collection, reveals a palette of rich orange and vibrant violet—colours not bound by reality but drawn from the depths of an awakened heart, ignited by renewed love, hope, and dreams amidst the enchanting pilgrimage to Tamagawa. As our hearts open, our true selves emerge, and the dormant dreams encoded within our DNA begin to bloom. Though long forgotten, these dreams never lose their vitality; like poppy flowers in the desert, they await the abundant rain to revive them, their moment to emerge from the depths of time. Unfurling their colourful petals of promise, they awaken fresh hope and boundless possibilities. In the realm of dreams, it is never too late for the timeless to flourish anew.
This painting is crafted using acrylic and soft pastel on raw canvas, fusing the soak-stain technique pioneered by the 20th century American abstract expressionist Helen Frankenthaler with the artistic traditions of Asian water-ink that have been a cherished part of my upbringing.
