I explored what fireflies and night jasmines symbolise to me in this piece. I feel both the Light and the Scent serve as a guide in our journey in the forest of life... just like the Bluebird in fairytales... guiding the heroes to their true happiness. Finding the Path for me means following the curiosity, the heart's delight and what makes us come alive.
I'm drawn to the play between the yellow fireflies and the purple jasmines and the other worldly realm that's dreamy and evocative. It's also a more conceptual piece design wise playing with the oval shapes, transparent layers and tree lines.
